Position Summary

The College of Business Administration at IUK invites applications for an assistant/associate professor position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory-level courses as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in their area of specialization and related fields.

The primary responsibilities of this position include promoting high-quality teaching, research, and services. You will also collaborate with the Head of Department and colleagues to achieve the department's and university's mission. Additionally, you will mentor junior colleagues and teaching assistants and provide administrative and academic support to the department and university.

Responsibilities

This role involves teaching different courses according to your specialty and experience. You will promote innovation in teaching by introducing new methodologies and strategies. Engaging with students both in and out of the classroom is essential to fostering a positive learning environment.

As a researcher, you will promote research activities and other creative work at IUK, including publishing in indexed peer-reviewed publications. Mentoring new colleagues and teaching assistants is also a critical aspect of this role.

You will be expected to maintain office hours, provide advisement for students, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to university professional development activities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must hold a Ph.D. in a related Business Management domain with a dissertation or intensive research/teaching. Professional certifications are highly regarded.

Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of university teaching experience for Assistant professor and five years for associate professor at a university level.
  • A proven research record, scholarly work, publications, and knowledge transfer.
  • A minimum of three journal articles in peer-review indexed journals (ISI or Scopus) for Assistant professor and five years for associate professor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires excellent writing and interpersonal skills. Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship is essential. Computer, LMS, and e-learning skills are also required. Experience in course design based on outcome-based education (OBE) model is highly valued.
