The role of Ecological Specialist is pivotal in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site monitoring and preparation of data reports
  • Supervising site operations and managing on-site equipment
  • Report writing, data analysis, sample collection, and interpretation of results

This role requires a self-motivated individual who works well with a team and can clearly explain complex processes.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in Ecology or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or university and have experience working with advanced engineering tools, data systems, and other general office/engineering software.

Prior experience in PMC projects in the oil and gas industry is essential, as is the ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities and cultures.

A strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions, commercial contract law, and process engineering through all phases of the project life cycle is also required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and planning skills, be able to manage multiple priorities, and be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business.

In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in flora and fauna classification ecology, sustainable management, and conservation of wildlife in arid areas.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing strategies for natural habitat preservation and restoration
  • Employing a range of habitat survey techniques, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), aerial photography, records, and maps
  • Liaising with project engineers, planners, and others associated with revegetation activities
