About the Position
  • Support military operations by providing translation, interpretation, and transcription services.
  • Analyze verbal communications and scan foreign language documents for key information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational contract linguist support for interviews, meetings, and conferences.
  • Supply various translation and interpretation services for Singhalese.
  • Transcribe and analyze verbal communications to facilitate effective communication.
  • Conduct research and analysis on foreign language documents to provide valuable insights.

Requirements

  • A U.S. citizen with excellent command of English and Singhalese languages.
  • ILR proficiency level 3 in target language and proficiency level 2+ in English based on oral and written language skills examination.
  • A current U.S. passport and active Secret clearance for access to classified information.
  • Ability to work shifts and extended hours in support of 24 x 7 operations.
  • Familiarity with local culture and customs and ability to conduct oneself accordingly.
  • Meet all MOD15 requirements put into place by the military.
