Job Summary:

As a Vulnerability Security Specialist at Vectrus, you will play a critical role in protecting our systems and network infrastructure from potential threats. Your primary responsibility will be to scan, analyze, and report on the compliance of our systems and network infrastructure on a regional and theater level. This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and review weekly vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Survey network diagrams and other artifacts to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop plans to mitigate them.
  • Assist in the preparation of vulnerability scanning reports for commanders and high headquarters.
  • Liaise with IAVM manager and ISSO regarding vulnerability and remediation issues.
  • Develop and recommend tools for the vulnerability scanning of all network assets.
  • Monitor INFOCON status and maintain awareness of all INFOCON requirements.
  • Assess current architecture and computer assets for INFOCON compliance.
  • Communicate and disseminate updates and tabletop exercises among various commands in the RCC-SWA AOR.
  • Generate and update reports for all areas of responsibility.
  • Interact with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administrators to leverage scanning and patching battle rhythm.
  • Continuously monitor network and systems assets to ensure accurate compliance reporting for Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or MIS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of practical experience working with various data (network and system) technologies, with a minimum of two years focused on security.
  • Knowledge of certification tools and Linux configuration and management preferred.
  • Candidates must adhere to DoD 8570.01-M and maintain at least one baseline certification and two computing environment (CE) certifications.
