Responsibilities

As an Emergency Dispatcher, your primary responsibility will be to receive and respond to emergency calls in a timely and effective manner.

You will also be responsible for dispatching personnel to emergency situations and providing critical support to our operations.

Key Activities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and dispatch personnel
  • Provide medical pre-arrival instructions
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless emergency response

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CAC eligibility and/or ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Proboard Hazmat Materials Awareness (Optional)
  • International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Proboard Telecommunicator I-II
  • American Heart Association CPR
  • Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certification, willing to obtain 30 days from hire date
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Police, Fire, EMS Dispatcher
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone
  • Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must type a minimum of 35 words per minute
