Our organization seeks a skilled Supply Chain Operations Specialist to play a vital role in our logistics team.
Job Description:This is a dynamic position that involves analyzing various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more programs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute multiple priorities effectively.
The successful Supply Chain Operations Specialist will conduct complex inventory, distribution, and network studies, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies for desired delivery times.
Key responsibilities include collecting, processing, and maintaining data for analysis; developing enterprise and/or program-level supply chain reports and metrics.
The individual in this role will also identify, evaluate, and develop cost-effective procedures that meet business objectives; recommend process improvements.
Additionally, they will monitor external and internal trends to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) in the supply chain.
As part of this position, you will provide detailed analysis of end-to-end performance; document, track, and report the flow of materials and equipment to ensure proper delivery and processing.
You will also support projects, new business opportunities, and proposals with analytical input.
Moreover, you will coordinate logistics activities with internal/external customers.
In this role, you will serve as the point of contact for order status and supply-chain queries.
You will interact with customers to understand their distribution networks.
You will participate in inter-departmental task forces to improve supply chain performance.
As a Supply Chain Operations Specialist, you will maintain knowledge of shipping, receiving, storing, issuing stock control measures, and accounting procedures.
You will establish and maintain stock records and other related documents.
You will verify quantities received against documentation.
You will unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize, and store incoming supplies and equipment.
You will improve maintenance data collection and accuracy.
Furthermore, you will manage deployment and redeployment of personnel and equipment.
Requirements:- An associate's degree in logistics or business administration, along with six years of military logistics experience, or equivalent training and eight years of experience.
- Experience working with GCSS-A and DPAS systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute multiple priorities effectively.
- Advanced knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and data entry skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend logistics documentation.
- Proficiency in MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Expertise in military logistics, supply, and maintenance operations.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
