Secondary School ELA Co-Teacher

A collaborative educator is sought to join our dynamic learning community as a Secondary School English Language Arts (ELA) Co-Teacher. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced lead teachers in creating engaging and inclusive classroom environments for students.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with lead ELA teachers to design and implement high-quality lessons aligned with secondary English language arts standards.
  • Provide targeted academic support through small group instruction and individualized assistance, promoting students' growth in reading, writing, and analysis.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student voice, collaboration, and social responsibility.
  • Participate in ongoing communication with families and staff to ensure student success and well-being.
  • Contribute to assessment and feedback processes to inform instruction and support student progress.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field, preferably with teaching certification.
  • Experience working with middle school or high school students in an educational setting.
  • A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and collaborative teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork and adaptability.
