Orthopedic Specialist

To provide high-quality orthopedic services under the supervision of an experienced consultant.

1. Evaluate patients from the emergency department to ensure timely and effective treatment.
2. Participate in daily ward rounds with the orthopedic team to discuss patient care plans.
3. Conduct regular reviews of patients' progress, reporting any issues or concerns to the attending consultant.
4. Maintain accurate and legible clinical notes to document patient interactions.
5. Assist with operating room duties as assigned, ensuring smooth surgical processes.
6. Support pre and post-operative care to guarantee seamless patient experiences.
7. Order diagnostic tests and treatments as required, such as radiology and laboratory exams.
8. Discharge patients upon consultant instructions, documenting discharge summaries for record-keeping purposes.
9. Respond promptly to adverse occurrences affecting patients, visitors, or staff, following established protocols.
10. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management strategies, and policy development to enhance the overall orthopedic service.
11. Collaborate on hospital-wide projects at Taiba Hospital, applying expertise and knowledge to drive excellence.
12. Fulfill all hospital policies and procedures, adhering to guidelines like JCI, Code Blue, infection control, and work hours.
13. Prioritize safe working practices, maintaining a secure environment according to Health and Safety Regulations.
14. Perform additional duties as necessary, including supporting medical colleagues and serving as a resource for junior professionals.
15. Report unusual findings, complications, or changes in patient management plans to specialists and consultants.
