Job Description:

The Commercial Manager - Fresh Food is responsible for coordinating with buyers to ensure the procurement of fresh produce aligns with the company's objectives. This role holder assists in sourcing and examining products that reach store shelves, catalogues, and online platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels.
  • Prepare and review purchase details of orders and deliveries.
  • Sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Developing cost scenario analysis and benchmarking for the sourcing function when required.

This role requires close communication with suppliers on quality-related issues and proposing areas for improvement to ensure the best possible products. Additionally, the successful candidate will engage with relevant stakeholders to clarify specifications and expectations of the sourcing function.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position, preferably in retail.
  • Specialized knowledge of the Fresh Food department (F&V, Butchery, and Fishery).
  • Strong business communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of importing and sourcing channels.
  • Full proficiency in English and Arabic.
