Job Description

This role involves overseeing the operational and academic aspects of a college, with a focus on enhancing student experience and driving local sales and marketing activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of the academic program and manage the recruitment, leadership, and professional development of academic team members.
  • Provide academic guidance to the teaching team in terms of educational aims, curriculum statements, and learning approaches.
  • Collaborate with the Group Academic Director to develop and communicate new academic products, courses, and projects.
  • Maintain accreditation through self-assessment and continuous development of academic areas.
Student Experience

The College Manager will be responsible for implementing the Great Things Start Here program, ensuring students are at the forefront of college operations. This includes:

  • Driving student engagement and fostering a supportive environment that promotes learning and cultural immersion.
  • Following up on feedback and taking corrective action to improve student satisfaction.
  • Dealing with escalated student welfare queries and problems efficiently and discreetly.
  • Ensuring a robust social and activity program is in place, providing a revenue stream.
Financial and Administrative Management

The College Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of the college's financial administration, including:

  • Maintaining effective financial controls and records to ensure agreed budgets are adhered to.
  • Liaising with the central accommodation team to ensure high-quality student accommodation.
  • Managing cash transactions in compliance with group standards.
