Linguist Consultant

Amentum is a leading provider of critical infrastructure support services. As a linguist with exceptional English skills, you will contribute to the growth of our diverse team globally.

We seek dedicated linguists in various languages/dialects to support our intelligence community customer OCONUS. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in an assigned area of responsibility, you will provide language services and cultural perspective on regional historical, political, sociological, and economic trends to senior leadership staff.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Support military operations by providing contract linguist services and interpreting during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
2. Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
3. Analyze foreign language documents for key information.
4. Offer translation and interpretation services for Telugu.

Job Requirements:

1. U.S. citizenship is required.
2. Excellent command of Telugu & English verbal skills; ILR proficiency level 3 in target language and proficiency level 2+ in English based on oral and written language skills examination.
3. Current U.S. passport or willingness to apply as soon as accepted into the program.
4. Willingness to obtain/maintain an active Secret clearance for access to classified information.
5. Ability to work in Kuwait.
6. Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours in support of 24 x 7 operations.
7. Familiarity with local culture and customs.
8. Medical examination requirement.
