Job Overview
Amentum is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As an AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of military tactical aircraft maintenance tasks, including repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance checks.

About the Role
This is a key position that requires a strong background in aviation maintenance, with a minimum of three years of experience on the AH-64 MDS within the past five years. Alternatively, candidates may hold a valid FAA A&P certificate and two years of aviation maintenance experience, along with three years of experience on the MDS (AH-64) within the recent past five years.

Key Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Mechanic II, your duties will include:
• Removing and installing aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls, and their components
• Servicing and lubricating aircraft and subsystems
• Safely preparing aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services
• Performing scheduled inspections and assisting in performing special inspections
• Conducting limited maintenance operational checks and diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required
• Using and performing operator maintenance on tools, special tools, and aircraft ground support equipment
• Applying comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information, and Action Messages, and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives
• Maintaining and repairing aircraft components, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
• Applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and using required expertise in restoring equipment condition and/or operation
• Participating in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
• Completion of high school or equivalent is required
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired, certification of education level is required
• Three (3) or more years of recent aviation maintenance experience within the past Five (5) years on the (AH-64) MDS is Required
• OR possess a valid FAA A&P certificate and two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience and three (3) years of experience on the MDS (AH-64) within the recent past Five (5) years will be required
• Must be in possession of a U.S. Passport with 3 years of validity remaining at the time of hire with minimum 6 blank pages and be able to travel internationally
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location
• Able to clear CENTCOM MOD 17 Army Medical for deployment
• A valid US driver's license in order to be able to obtain Kuwait driver's license
• Ability to obtain PCC for Kuwait Visa
