Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and maintain our Linux infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing, and managing system architecture, file systems, and kernel configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Manage Linux system architecture, file systems, and kernel configurations.
  • Server Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux servers (physical and virtual).
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate tasks using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, and script with Bash and Python.
  • User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings, including SELinux and AppArmor.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor systems using Nagios, Zabbix, Syslog, and Logrotate.
  • Web Server Configuration: Configure and manage web servers such as Apache and Nginx.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Understand networking fundamentals including IP routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Storage Management: Manage storage (LVM, RAID, NFS, iSCSI) and backups.
  • Security and Compliance: Apply security patches and updates, harden systems.
  • Cloud and Virtualization: Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing virtualization with KVM.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot performance issues and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires extensive knowledge of Linux systems and experience in managing complex IT infrastructures.
