Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Stewarding Supervisor to oversee the stewarding team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen and dining areas.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Direct and supervise the stewarding team to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces, adhering to company health and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of kitchen and dining equipment, preventing stockouts and excess supplies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware, guaranteeing their presentation quality.
- Training and Development: Train the stewarding team on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, equipping them to handle various situations.
- Hygiene Enforcement: Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, conducting regular inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining safety and cleanliness in food storage areas, promoting a culture of responsibility among team members.
- Culinary Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the availability of clean and sanitized equipment, streamlining food preparation processes.
- Inspections and Concerns: Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness and compliance, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Performance Management: Assist in managing staffing levels and performance, ensuring the team meets high standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor stewarding budgets and expenses, making informed decisions to optimize resource allocation.
- Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment and training of stewarding staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility: Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, safeguarding the health and safety of guests and colleagues while contributing to environmental conservation.
