Job Overview:

This position is physically located in Kuwait, supporting LOGCAP operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead an inspection team responsible for performing inspections of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and other systems in new-construction, upgraded, and/or repairs to fixed, semi-permanent, tents or relocatable structures.
  2. Ensure compliance with requisite contractual, U. S. Government, Do D, U. S. Army, local and safety regulations, codes, policies, guidelines and instructions.
  3. Schedule resources and manage team to accomplish company objectives.
  4. Perform initial, in-progress, and final inspections to diagnose violations.
  5. Use "As-Built" plans, blueprints, and schematics in the performance and scheduling of inspections.
  6. Examine "As-Built" plans, blueprints, and schematics to ensure compliance with required industry code(s).
  7. Perform site visits during each phase of construction (initial through final) to conduct inspections.
  8. Follow-up as needed to perform additional inspections during each phase of construction (initial through final).
  9. Inspect in-progress and completed work for quality workmanship and safety.
  10. Reviews materials to be used prior to the start of work.
  11. Signs off that all work has been satisfactorily accomplished following completion of maintenance or project activities.
  12. Uses the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and update work orders.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High School graduate or equivalent.
    • Valid Journeyman's or Master Tradesman's license from the United States preferred.
    • Ability to obtain host nation driver license.
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or ability to obtain a CAC.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years continuous experience performing installation or maintenance services on building systems at the journeyman's or inspector's level.
    • Must have 3 years documented experience supervising others in a variety of trade disciplines.
  • Skills:
    • Must possess the technical skill to identify repair requirements as it pertains to building systems and equipment in a variety of disciplines.
    • Must be able to lead others and provide adequate supervision and direction to accomplish organizational goals.
    • Must be able to provide technical direction to an inspection team across all disciplines of trades.
    • Must have expert knowledge of equipment manuals for servicing, operations and repair of building systems.
    • Must be an expert in corrective actions performed by maintenance teams.
    • Must have the ability to troubleshoot, service and repair electrical systems.
    • Must have full knowledge of industry utilized tools and test equipment.
    • Must be proficient in all phases of paperwork as it pertains to servicing, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.
    • Must have expert knowledge of equipment operations as it is critical to providing a quality inspection program.
    • Must be capable of giving and receiving instructions during the course of normal duties.
    • Must be capable of working independently with little-or-no guidance.
    • Must be willing to adapt to rapidly-changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
