Job Summary

This position plays a crucial role in maintaining property accountability utilizing GCSS-Army. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of inventory records, conduct Change of Command Inventory briefings, and maintain files in accordance with Army Records Information Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains supply accountability records.
  • Conducts Change of Command Inventory briefings.
  • Maintains files in accordance with Army Records Information Management System.
  • Researches and resolves property book and/or system-related discrepancies.
  • Duties may vary contingent on the assigned department.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
  • Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the Quality Management System.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 4 years of Property Book/supply experience required.
  • GCSS-Army experience and certification required.
  • US Army MOS 92A or 92Y preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of inventory management required.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army inventory management accounting systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels (to include multinational staff, superiors, and ranking military officers).
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities to accommodate a demanding workload.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications is required.

Certification, License & Clearance:

  • GCSS-Army certification required.
  • Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Driver's license required.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
