Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the financial statement production process and ancillary functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting processes, including knowledge of financial software and payroll compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Issue and post sales invoices in a timely manner.
  • Oversight of the purchase ledger function, including monthly creditor account reconciliation and payment.
  • Draft and post monthly journals for management accounts production.
  • Analyze monthly expenses to provide management insights.
  • Filing and payment of tax returns, including ROS, P30, VAT3, Corporation Tax, and DWT as applicable.
  • Ensure timely completion of statutory audits and respond to queries from auditors.
  • Provide support with payroll processing and submission of grant claims to Enterprise Ireland as required.
  • Maintain effective credit control management.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting processes and financial software.
  • Good working knowledge of SAGE software.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance, including RPNs and taxation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Desire to learn and further professional development.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS products.
