Job Overview

The Network Operations Supervisor will oversee the operation of automation systems comprising the NOC, including network performance and fault management. The role requires technical expertise in both systems architecture and network design, as well as experience in telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain situational awareness of all networks and systems under the responsibility of the NOC.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for all communications needs and perform Enterprise services as required.
  • Attend and conduct regular meetings to keep all parties apprised of network and communications/data systems changes, improvements, and project progression.
  • Schedule and prioritize individual workload and provide status of tasking to the NOC Chief Watch Officer as is required.
  • Report all incidents and user POC for Service Requests (routine requests for services).
  • Implement all NTOs as distributed to the various levels and ensure accuracy of all data prior to submission for completion.
  • Facilitate problem resolution by monitoring and reviewing tickets, gathering information on outages, and updating service tickets throughout the resolution process.
  • Provide technical and operational support to functional users by managing, monitoring, and maintaining situational awareness of networks and systems under the responsibility of the NOC.

This position requires candidates to adhere to DoD 8570.01M. All candidates are required to maintain at least one baseline certification and one computing environment (CE) certification. Baseline certifications cannot also be used as a Computing Environment (CE) certification. The authorized certifications for this job title are listed below:
