Principal Infrastructure Planner

Overview

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning and designing various infrastructure projects. They will oversee the construction process to ensure that projects meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and perform hydraulic analyses to determine the feasibility of potential construction sites;">
• Design road alignments and stormwater collection systems to ensure sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions;">
• Coordinate with utility providers to confirm compliance with regulations;">
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, and other data to plan projects;">
• Consider environmental hazards, construction costs, and other factors in the planning stages;">
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies to draw up blueprints satisfying technical specifications;">
• Create drawings and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software;">
• Complete cost estimations for materials, equipment, and labor for all phases of construction projects;">
• Develop project budgets to determine economic feasibility;">
• Monitor progress and compile project status reports;">
• Comply with industry standards, guidelines, and regulations;">
• Deliver technical documentation/files as required;">
• Manage projects safely, efficiently, and sustainably;">

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;">
  • Eight to ten years of experience as a Civil Engineer;">
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design tools;">
  • Commitment to complying with various codes and regulatory standards for quality and safety;">
  • Ability to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities and develop effective solutions;">
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.">
