Job Overview:

As a Radar System Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support, maintenance, and operational assessments for systems related to Counter UAS capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of radar systems, including performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of sensors and computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform onsite technical support and refer complex issues to subject matter experts, applying problem-solving skills to resolve most situations.
  • Provide tier two support for operational components such as radars, computers, and software.
  • Produce written documents including memoranda, maintenance reports, and engineering surveys or service reports.
  • Engage in physically demanding work when required.
  • Conduct periodic and refresher training on the proper use, care, and maintenance of systems, following program guidance.
  • Communicate complex technical issues effectively, including drafting reports and weekly activity summaries.
  • Document all installations, maintenance, repairs, requisitions, and equipment receipt.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in system engineering and technical support, with a minimum of 2 years (10 years preferred) of experience supporting radars. A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience (2 years relevant experience can substitute), is also required. Additionally, you will need to have experience in installation and maintenance of electronic systems, knowledge of Linux, Windows OS, MS Office, Visio, and AutoCAD, and ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments handling multiple tasks.

You will also need to possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and active Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
