Mechanical Engineers are integral to the planning and execution of projects involving mechanically functioning equipment. They oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of complex systems, ensuring their efficient functioning.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Designing modifications to improve equipment performance and reduce costs.
  2. Developing design plans and specifications for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects.
  3. Adapting traditional methods to create innovative design solutions that meet project objectives and standards.
  4. Conducting quality control and submittal reviews, and providing technical support during construction.
  5. Evaluating and developing cost estimates and time schedules, and reviewing preliminary and final designs for technical efficiency and adequacy.
  6. Preparing necessary documentation, reports, and correspondence for project execution.
  7. Serving as a technical representative for negotiation and administration of contracts.
  8. Leading and managing teams for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities.
  9. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promoting a safe work environment.
  10. Awareness of potential challenges and hazards associated with remote and uncomfortable living and working conditions.
  11. Preparedness for extended working hours, exposure to harsh weather conditions, and other challenges.
  12. Awareness of the possibility of sudden relocation under adverse conditions.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. A Mechanical Engineering degree is required; a licensed mechanical engineer is preferred.
  2. Four years of experience in design and mechanical engineering, with a focus on providing mechanical design services.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or later, and experience in using relevant software and tools.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  5. Ability to travel frequently and adapt to changing project requirements.
  6. US Citizenship is required for eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.
