The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts. Additionally, they should have broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
Key Responsibilities:- Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls, and their components.
- Servicing and lubricating aircraft and subsystems.
- Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
- Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
- U.S. military technical school or a specialized training course is desired, certification of education level is required.
- A Minimum of Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience within the past recent Five (5) years on the AH-64 aircraft assigned is Required.
The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. They will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
Working Environment:- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
