VOIP Specialist

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in call and video routing, optimization, customer service, and QoS as referenced to DoD practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing voice routing communications in medium to large infrastructure. This position requires technical expertise in VoIP technologies using industry best practices.

• Implement new, existing, and future VoIP (to include Voice Over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) technology using industry best practices, including Cisco Call Manager and Unified Communications systems.
• Manage and maintain Tier 1 Cisco Call Managers, Presence, Unity servers, Session Boarder Controllers (SBC), Session Management Edition (SME), and additional equipment on all networks.
• Collaborate with the Network Operations Centers (NOC) to ensure that VoIP traffic does not interfere with or hinder network data traffic.
• Provide expert technical support for existing and expanding Voice & Video networks, services, system upgrades, and equipment purchases to the client.
• Monitor and identify capacity, quality, and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems.
• Perform regular system maintenance in support of IAVA vulnerabilities and CCRI compliance.
• Execute engineering best practices in network builds, integration, testing, and documentation while adhering to security fundamentals provided by DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Ensure that all managed technologies are compliant with current DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Create and track network issues/requests using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Create, update, and maintain detailed network diagrams.

• An active Secret Clearance is required for this position.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or MIS, IS, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• This position requires candidates to adhere to DoD 8570.01M and maintain at least one baseline certification and one computing environment (CE) certification.

• Minimum of five years of experience in administrative, technical work, which demonstrated the ability and aptitudes required to perform technical, managerial, or analytical work and coordination involving management information systems.
