Job Title: Project Director

About the Role:

The role is responsible for leading a team to support clients in managing awarded EPC contracts for infrastructure projects.

The main scope includes managing and overseeing the upgrade of power stations, which are located within drivable distance of major cities. The position together with the project team is based in Kuwait.


Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage EPC Contractors ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet QHSE requirements.
  2. Ensure the correct application by EPC Contractors of design criteria, drawings, standards and conventions, and design guidelines for the projects.
  3. Coordinate progress reporting, performance monitoring, and resource allocation by EPC Contractors.
  4. Organize pre-construction conferences, briefings, and presentations.
  5. Oversee construction and commissioning activities.
  6. Verify EPC Contractors' monthly invoices.
  7. Ensure timely internal and external reporting.
  8. Ensure client satisfaction through successful project delivery, paving the way for long-term client relationships and opportunities for repeat business.

Key Relationships:

Internal Interface

  • This role will report to the MEA PMC/PMS SL Director and have regular interaction with the company's project internal support team.

Client Interface

  • This role will interact with the Clients Project Director and relevant personnel based in the power station.

Knowledge/Experience (Skills):
  • Extensive project management and project engineering experience in FEED and EPC projects.
  • PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
  • Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.
  • Educated to an engineering degree (Minimum). Project Management certification is preferable.

Required Skills:

Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Familiarity with MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.

High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
