**Job Overview**
This role requires a skilled Gunsmith Technician to join our team at Amentum. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in field level maintenance, with at least 3 years of the experience on towed artillery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed assembly and disassembly of towed Howitzer and mortar systems, as well as inspecting, maintaining, servicing, rebuilding, and repairing these systems.
The Gunsmith Technician will also perform detailed disassembly, assembly, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, PMCS, gauging, and minor repairs of foreign/domestic small arms and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of towed artillery systems
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure systems are functioning correctly
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years of experience in field level maintenance, with at least 3 years of experience on towed artillery
- Prior Military experience in a Field Artillery Unit required (US Army 91F, 13BU6, USMC 2131)
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to speak English and read/comprehend technical manuals printed in English
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Drivers license may be required
- T1 NACI required for U.S. Citizens
Facility Credentials/Authorization:
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
- Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures
- Ability to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
