Job Summary

The Accounting Leadership Manager will oversee a team of accounting professionals responsible for the preparation of accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Closing monthly books of accounts and preparing various financial statements as per central accounts schedule.
  • Periodically reviewing and scrutinizing trial balance to ensure accuracy by checking entries and postings.
  • Preparing periodical reports and providing them to central accounts and corporate planning in a timely manner.
  • Supervising reconciliation of bank statements, accounts payable, and inventory.
  • Ensuring compliance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with external and internal auditors.
  • Coordinating implementation of accounting and control procedures.
  • Coordinating with IT to improve and enhance system capabilities.
  • Planning and scheduling work of accounting staff.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce with a deep understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CMA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an accounting function, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • An organized approach with proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Developed leadership skills to supervise a team of accounting staff.
  • Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Access, and working knowledge of Power Point.
  • Knowledge of ERP and databases.
