The Orthodontic Specialist at New Mowasat Hospital plays a pivotal role in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of dental abnormalities, including issues with jaw structure and teeth alignment. This specialist must be well-versed in Ministry of Health regulations and Dental Department Policies & Guidelines to ensure quality patient care.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Duties:

  • Assess patient needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital procedures and policies.
  • Interview patients, conduct examinations, and create treatment plans.
  • Design and fabricate appliances to alter tooth position and relationship.
  • Monitor gum health, prescribe medication as needed, and document patient information.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry with residency specialization in Orthodontics is required. Membership or Fellowship in the Royal College of Orthodontics is preferred. A valid license from the Ministry of Health, Kuwait, is necessary for practice as an Orthodontic Specialist.

Basic Life Support Certification is desirable.
