Armament Technician

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Armament Technician to join our team at HealthCare Dynamics Gen. Trading Company W.L.L.

In this role, you will perform a full range of field and sustainment maintenance on all armament related fire control systems and optical devices belonging to combat vehicles, infantry and on/off carriage artillery fire control systems and equipment and related test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field maintenance on laser range finders, ballistic computers, laser observation devices, laser designators, thermal imaging systems, periscopes, telescopes, commander's weapon station/auxiliary sights, aiming circles, image transfer assemblies, quadrants, mount assemblies, fire control support equipment, and test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
• Perform battlefield damage assessment and repair (BDAR).
• Provide technical guidance on how to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in fire control systems and related equipment at the field maintenance level.
• Determine the nature and extent of repairs required; disassemble and examine parts and assemblies for serviceability; replace parts and assemblies as required.
• Determine serviceability of parts; exercise initiative to maintain productive progress and accept responsibility for the results.
• Safely use common hand-tools and shop equipment effectively without assistance.
• Diagnose and determine remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repair of fire control equipment with little or no supervision, using a variety of diagnostic techniques and practices.
• Assist other employees in the proper repair maintenance procedures and capabilities of related TMDE.
• Account for bench stock items including and other sensitive items.
• Perform QA/QC functions such as initial, in-process and final inspections in the absence of the Technical Inspector.
• Maintain physical security, supply and maintenance management operations as it pertains to assigned equipment to include operator maintenance.
• Account for and track recoverable items to ensure compliance with Exchange Pricing (EP)/recoverable items program.
• Determine root causes of non-conformances, take corrective action and provide feedback on systemic problems.
• Adhere to PWS and enforce standards within the work area.
• Perform routine inspections on safety and environmental controls and provide reports on safety, quality, and armament related issues.
• Be responsible for Property Custodian for Government Furnished Equipment and Army Installation property assigned to the section.
• Manage Key Control for the Fire Control Shop.
• Prepare and present/submit reports and briefings to management or for external agencies as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
