Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Medical Affairs Director to lead our efforts in the Gulf region.

This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining local medical and scientific independence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and representing Roche's scientific positions among key external stakeholders.

You will be an integral part of our affiliate leadership team, serving as an architect, catalyst, and coach of medical and scientific expertise. Your primary focus will be on driving decisions based on science and data, fostering professional cooperation with healthcare professionals, and promoting patient-centricity.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Catalyze appropriate medical and scientific contributions to the development and execution of local strategies and tactics.
  • Act as a local integrator of development and license to operate functions, ensuring that these functions work coherently across the organization.
  • Develop and execute clinical data generation portfolios to fill evidence gaps and support patient access according to local needs.
  • Ensure the highest standards of clinical trial conduct, disclosure, and data transparency.
  • Catalyze and coach a Pharmacovigilance (PV) compliance culture within the teams reporting to you.
  • Promote patient safety activities to transform clinical practice and support patients.

About You:

We are looking for a medical professional with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical business, extensive Medical Affairs experience, and a strong grasp of the local healthcare system in the Gulf countries. You should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate clear messages from complex data/information in English.

Your Background:

  • Medical degree or other HCPs/Human Life science degree with relevant experience.
  • Strong track record of driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.
  • Proven ability to manage high complexity, balancing people development, competency building, and external leadership.

We Offer:

In this role, you can expect a competitive salary range of approximately $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a leading global healthcare company, where you will be valued for your expertise and dedication.
