As an Emergency Response Professional with Vectrus, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of individuals and property within our operating environments. This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP V, where you will be responsible for responding to emergencies as part of a firefighting team.

You will operate under the supervision of the Fire Officer and maintain vehicles, equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable condition. Your duties will include extinguishing fires, taking precautions to prevent fire rekindling, and exercising caution to avoid personal injury and property damage.

Responsibilities
  • Participate as a positive team member and understand and conform to the LOGCAP V contract Performance Work Statement.
  • Actively participate and maintain a safe workplace, ensuring safety is the highest priority.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and goals.
  • Maintain documentation as necessary to meet these requirements.
  • Ensure emergency equipment is operational and in a state of readiness as required by NFPA or other industry standards.
  • Maintain and clean personal protective equipment and work as an effective team member in cleaning equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct fire inspections, pre-incident planning, and ensure that facilities are safe and documentation is recorded and tracked.
  • Operate computerized digital fire alarm receiving equipment including two-way radio communications equipment.
  • Perform additional property control and logistical duties in support of fire department operations to include maintaining accountability of equipment, scheduling maintenance of equipment, coordinating appointments of subordinates, and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Serve as a team member on a rescue unit, ladder truck, engine company, water tender, or airport ARFF apparatus.
