Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, and networking.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Linux servers, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Administer web hosting platforms and control panels such as cPanel/WHM, Plesk, Cloud Linux.
  • Build, manage, and optimize virtual environments using hypervisors like VMware, Xen, Hyper-V, KVM, XCP-ng.
  • Design, implement, and manage private cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and Apache CloudStack.
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and RADIUS servers.
  • Implement and maintain server security measures, including firewall configuration and threat mitigation.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions using monitoring tools like Cacti, Solarwinds, MRTG, Nagios XI.
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting.
  • Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members.
Required Skills and QualificationsKey Skills
  • Extensive experience in Linux administration on Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and Ubuntu.
  • Proficiency in web hosting control panels such as cPanel/WHM, Plesk, Cloud Linux.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies like VMware, Xen, Hyper-V, KVM, XCP-ng.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as OpenStack and Apache CloudStack.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and RADIUS servers.
  • Skills in server hardening and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic shell scripting abilities.
  • Understanding of hardware configuration and storage systems.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle on-call responsibilities.
  • Certifications like RHCE, RHCT, MCA200, CompTIA A+ are preferred.
