Job Overview

Automak Automotive seeks a highly skilled Compliance and Risk Manager to join its legal department. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate governance, legal compliance, and risk management. They will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Department in all matters related to corporate governance, legal compliance, and other legal responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Corporate Governance: Develop and implement effective corporate governance strategies to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records.
  2. Legal Compliance: Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations and ensure adherence. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  3. IPO Support: Assist in preparing the company for an initial public offering (IPO) by drafting necessary IPO documents, structuring securities, conducting due diligence, and obtaining regulatory approvals.
  4. Compliance Monitoring and Investigations: Continuously monitor the company's activities to ensure ongoing compliance with established policies and regulations. Investigate violations and take corrective actions to rectify the situation and prevent future breaches.
  5. Legal Advice and Counsel: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the company's management and various departments on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and litigation.
  6. Risk Identification and Management: Identify potential legal risks that the company may face and develop strategies to manage and mitigate these risks, including staying informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company.
  7. Contract Management: Responsible for creating and managing legal contracts and consequential correspondence on behalf of the company which involves assisting with contract negotiations, analyzing contract risks, and ensuring that all parties involved fulfill their obligations under the contracts.
  8. Legal Advice to Senior Management: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to senior management within the company covering a wide range of legal issues, including strategic decisions, risk assessment, and compliance matters.
  9. Manage and Coordinate Legal Tasks: Oversee and manage various legal tasks and activities within the company including liaising with internal and external stakeholders involved in legal matters.
  10. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures that help mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and guide the company's actions and decisions in a legally compliant manner.
  11. Corporate Communication: Prepare and distribute internal communications related to legal and compliance matters. Ensure that employees across the organization are aware of and adhere to legal and compliance policies.
  12. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
  13. Case Management: Assist in organizing and managing legal cases, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with other team members and external parties.
  14. Administrative Support: Manage and organize legal documents and files, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality. Act as a liaison between the legal department, other departments, and external stakeholders. Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and reports.
