At Alghanim Industries, we are seeking an exceptional Electronics Category Leader to drive the success of our Consumer Electronics business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets, maximizing market share and ensuring competitiveness in assortment and pricing.
  • Collaborate with senior buyers to create and execute category plans that support customer growth, market share acquisition, and excellent availability across all channels.
  • Lead a team of professionals to develop and maintain a compelling product assortment, including brands, products, and agencies, to ensure freshness and improve profitability.
  • Work closely with merchandising teams to update planograms regularly, incorporating effective display principles to maximize sell-through and minimize dead stock.
  • Coach and develop team members to deliver results in line with business requirements and support their personal growth.
  • Design and implement promotional strategies, working directly with the team and support functions to meet business objectives and review effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute advertising and marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Manage order and replenishment processes to ensure optimal inventory levels, availability, and aged inventory control.
  • Support new product development processes and sourcing for own brands, analyzing market trends and competitor activity to stay competitive.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, agencies, and non-agencies to negotiate commercial terms, manage promotional activities, and ensure timely payment of supplier receivables.
  • Optimize in-store layouts, displays, and space management through planogram execution and regular store visits to core stores and competitors.

About You:

  • 4-7 years of experience in electronic retailing, with at least 4 years in category management.
  • In-depth knowledge of managing a Consumer Electronics Category and professional development in retail strategy/category management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw out plans and assess market needs accurately.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of SAP or Business Objects.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, based on your experience and qualifications, making you an attractive candidate for this role.
