Our Client is a premier Pan-African corporate ICT solutions provider who are inspired by possibility, and orchestrating innovative ICT solutions centered around a constantly evolving digital services gateway.
They are looking to recruit an MD to lead business operations in Kenya.


Position Summary:
As the MD, you will be responsible for the overall success of the company, from Product development to marketing to Revenue Building. This means that you will need to be able to provide strong leadership, articulate a clear vision for the company, and make tough decisions when necessary.

Areas of expertise:
Business: One of the key responsibilities of this is product management, which is primarily a commercial function with the goal of maximizing profit. Business development should be the main area of the MD s expertise.
User experience (UX): Being a chief advocate of the product users interests, the MD must understand how to solve users specific problems. The MD is in charge of collating insights from that increase product penetration in the market.
Technology: The MD needs to be keen on ISP technology and have a good understanding of managed services.

Responsibilities
  • Setting the vision for the company and defining the overall strategy to scale.

  • Driving growth, profitability, and company value through unlocking strategic deals.

  • Developing and implementing scalable and efficient strategies to ensure consistent results and exponential growth.

  • Attracting, retaining, and developing world-class talent.

  • Cultivating an ownership culture across the organization.

  • Aligning resources to achieve key business goals and providing expert guidance to all departments.

  • Owning the operational budget and managing run rate.

  • Managing competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of the financial structure, capital strategy, and strategic objectives.

  • Reporting updates to the Board of Directors and corporate stakeholders regarding progress on strategic goals.

  • Building strategic partnerships and relationships to drive growth through leveraging networks.

  • Being the public champion for the business and establishing credibility throughout the customer and partner network.

  • Responsible for liaising and negotiating with strategic vendors for the long-term benefit of the company in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Responsible for liaising with key stakeholders to ensure continuous compliance in collaboration with Finance.
    Analyzing the effects of long-term growth initiatives, planning, new strategies, and regulatory actions.

  • Optimizing the handling of banking relationships and working closely with the Finance manager.

  • To foster and grow strategic financial partnerships.

  • Mentor and interact with staff members at all levels to foster growth and encourage.

  • Development among the Management team and all staff members.



Requirements


  • +5 years of experience leading and scaling a high-growth start-up, preferably a company with venture funding and 50+ employees.

  • P&L responsibilities at MD or another senior level.

  • Proven track record of building successful products and high-performing teams from the ground up.

  • Prior working experience in developing enterprise products and solutions Relevant industry experience.

  • Experience in managing a Board of Directors and corporate stakeholders Experience or background in sales.
