Full-time Faculty of Computer Science American International University - Kuwait Cityfor the 2024-2025 Academic Year American International University (AIU) is looking for dynamic and engaged full-time faculty for its newly established School of Engineering and Computing. We seek individuals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students, building successful learning environments, and collaboratively engaging with faculty. AIU invites applicants for a full-time Faculty appointment in the Computer Science program. The ideal candidate is an innovative professional who leverages trends and technologies to deliver relevant classroom experiences. The successful candidate will be a leader and active member of the computer science field, expected to teach courses in Game Programming, Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. The candidate must work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The position includes expectations for research and service in addition to teaching responsibilities. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching related to their specific expertise within the professional Computer Science curriculum and be able to work within a small program, specializing in personal attention. We expect leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and startups. We welcome candidates who will diversify our curriculum and faculty with regard to race, gender, and ethnicity. Qualifications: Master's or Ph D degree in Computer Science or related field Practical communication skills in English University teaching experience Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship Interest and experience working effectively with a diverse university community Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from various disciplines Experience: Computer Science: 5 years (Preferred)Teaching: 5 years (Preferred)Education: Master's or Doctorate (Required)Language: English (Required)About American International University: AIU is a new institution of higher education in Kuwait, with the first student cohort admitted in fall 2019.
