As IT Specialist, you will join our team, focusing on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This role will involve working closely with clients to gather business requirements, identify challenges, and improve warehouse operational processes. As an IT Specialist, you will work collaboratively with Technical Consultants, Project Managers, and business teams to define solutions, implement changes, and support ongoing system operations to ensure maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients to gather and understand business requirements, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities in warehouse management processes.
- Perform implementation tasks including training, process development, workshops, testing, deployment/go-live support, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Technical Consultants and Project Managers to define and implement the total WMS solution, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Provide training and ongoing support to users to ensure smooth adoption of WMS, as well as deliver guidance on system functionality and best practices.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure proper implementation and performance of WMS solutions.
- Identify areas of improvement in existing systems and processes, proposing and implementing enhancements to optimize warehouse operations.
- Produce comprehensive functional specifications for system extensions and configuration changes, ensuring compliance with Infor documentation standards. Develop reports based on customer expectations.
- Continuously enhance product, industry, and technical knowledge to stay current with advancements and best practices in the field of WMS and logistics.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with the team to ensure the achievement of team goals and successful project completion.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in warehousing, supply chain logistics, or related fields.
- Technical Expertise:
- Solid understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related logistics functions (e.g., Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics).
- Strong technical knowledge in MS SQL scripting and Crystal Reports.
- Familiarity with database systems such as Oracle and SQL, and proficiency in SQL commands.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify and resolve system issues.
- Strong organizational and self-motivational skills with an ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Basic understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
