KG/Elementary School Teacher Requirements:

Valid teaching license preferred.

Preferred 1-2 years of experience. New grads welcome to apply.

Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods.

KG/Elementary School Teacher Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct instruction and supervision to students in the school.
  2. Work to instill skills that will allow children to progress academically within the scope of the curriculum and provide strategies that allow children to apply appropriate problem-solving skills to their lives.
  3. Teach diligently and faithfully the classes or subjects assigned to them by the principal.
  4. Follow the prescribed curriculum as outlined for each grade level.
  5. Assist in the development, creation, and selection of new curriculum, instructional materials, and supplies.
  6. Responsible for effective instruction, training, and evaluation of the progress of students in the subjects assigned and for the management of the class or classes, reporting to the Principal on the progress of students as requested.
  7. Encourage the students in the pursuit of life-long learning.
  8. Maintain accurate records of students' academic and behavioral performance as directed by the Principal.
  9. Participate in regular conferencing with parents and keep records in the prescribed school format.
  10. Inculcate respect for religion and the principles of Islamic morality and the highest regard for truth, justice, loyalty, love of country, humanity, benevolence, sobriety, industry, frugality, purity, temperance, and all other virtues.
  11. Provide direction and support for student activities and after-school clubs.
  12. Promote the American Creativity Academy positively at all times.
  13. Assist in developing cooperation and coordination among the members of the school staff.
  14. Attend conferences with other teachers to discuss the academic and social needs of students in his/her care as directed by the Principal.
  15. Make appropriate and timely referrals of students in difficulty to the designated support personnel.
  16. Deliver all required documentation, reports, and school property in their possession as directed by the Superintendent when their contractual agreement with the school has expired or when employment with ACA has ceased.
  17. Use and permit only textbooks approved by the BOT and Ministry of Education.
  18. Attend and actively participate in grade level meetings.
  19. Attend scheduled staff meetings and serve on faculty committees as requested by the school administration.
  20. Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, playground, and during breaks, recess, and dismissal.
  21. Follow school policy and procedures.
  22. Maintain and enhance professional competence by attending in-service training, seminars, and college-level courses.
  23. Perform other related tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
