To assist chemical technicians and field engineers in the preparation, handling, and application of oilfield chemicals. The Chemical Assistant supports daily operations by managing equipment, safety materials, and sample logistics under supervision.

Job Purpose:

To assist chemical technicians and field engineers in the preparation, handling, and application of oilfield chemicals. The Chemical Assistant supports daily operations by managing equipment, safety materials, and sample logistics under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support chemical technicians in preparing and transferring treatment chemicals to site.
  • Assist in setting up chemical injection systems and hose connections.
  • Organize and maintain tools, chemical containers, and safety equipment.
  • Help collect and label fluid samples for lab analysis.
  • Clean and maintain chemical tanks, pumps, and tools.
  • Load and unload chemicals in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Follow safety procedures (PPE, SDS awareness, handling protocols).
  • Maintain inventory of field chemicals and related supplies.
  • Assist with transporting materials to/from field locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • High school diploma or technical training (preferred).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar field role or oil & gas environment.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical types used in oilfield applications.
  • Familiarity with safety gear and chemical handling standards.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials when needed.
  • Basic communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work in remote field environments and rotational shifts.
