Title: Lead Planning Engineer

Position TitlePrimary objective

To proactively support the Project by managing the planning process and planning personnel and their activities across the organisation.

To assist and support the Project Controls Manager and Planning Department Head in managing the Project Schedule and ensure the client gains maximum business benefits from that mechanism.

Provide planning expertise and assist the project with their project planning activities.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Must have a Bachelor in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years total post-graduation experience.
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in oil and gas projects.
  • Minimum 4 years in a similar role.
  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in Planning.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Planning Software like Primavera, MS Project.
Specific Accountabilities
  • Supervise the planning function during design and/or construction stages of assigned projects.
  • Assess effectiveness of working practices and systems for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems.
  • Manage the Planning Team to deliver comprehensive Planning/Scheduling services.
  • Supervise and direct Planning Focal Point and Engineers' activities.
  • Collaborate with the client's UEV Cost & Planning team to implement and improve planning processes.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports and analyze contractor reports.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of Assets and Shutdown plans.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Asset teams to reflect work scopes accurately.
  • Schedule all HSE-related activities.
  • Coordinate with management on cost and planning issues.
  • Prepare status reports and forecasts for project and client review.
  • Supervise and develop planning staff at various locations.
  • Maintain and analyze schedules, manage change control processes.
