Job DescriptionThe HSES Tech provides solutions to problems in conjunction with HSE Advisors / Supervisors and evaluates and selects solutions from established HSES Management Systems.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities- Be conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.
- Serve as a resource to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for incidents.
- Provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with applicable environmental, safety, and health regulations at international, federal, state, and company levels.
- Implement the HSES activity plan and ensure activities are completed as scheduled.
- Assist with incident investigations and report compilation.
- Assist with medical evacuations and respond to emergencies as required.
- Regularly inspect work areas to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
- Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Observe work groups and provide guidance and coaching to personnel for safe work practices.
- Assist in delivering and observing toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses (JSA's).
- Report deficiencies observed in plant and equipment conditions.
- Diploma or equivalent certification.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Maintain key competencies related to HSES functions.
- Experience with technical activities, including on and offshore operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Exposure to incident investigation and analysis software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills to standard and nonstandard situations.
- Use best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve products or services.
- Proven experience in promoting teamwork, coaching, and guiding others.
