The Vocational Teacher is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the ASDAN and BTEC programs for students in the Special Education Needs (SEN) unit. This role requires effective teaching, assessment, coordination with workshop instructors, and ensuring all administrative tasks related to student portfolios and program requirements are met. They collaborate with the Vocational Coordinator and Division Principal, review IEPs, and submit progress reports twice a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Implementation & Assessment: Deliver vocational programs, assess student skills, and maintain progress documentation.
  2. Collaboration & Communication: Work with workshop instructors, engage with parents, and oversee hands-on activities.
  3. Administrative & Verification Tasks: Ensure accurate student records, participate in verification/moderation processes, and meet certification requirements.
  4. Lesson Planning & Teaching: Develop structured lesson plans, assess student performance, and maintain classroom discipline.
  5. School Activities & Engagement: Contribute to school events, prepare students for competitions, and support school-wide initiatives.
  6. Student Behavior & Communication: Enforce discipline policies, encourage English usage, and maintain confidentiality.
  7. Additional Responsibilities: Cover for absent staff, participate in field trips, and adhere to school policies and accreditation standards.

This role is crucial in equipping students with practical skills, fostering independence, and ensuring a structured, engaging learning environment.
