Inspection & Testing activities

1. Ensure every project requirement is strictly followed by the shop.

2. Prepare job ITP / QP as directed by the supervisor.

3. Establish new procedures and methods where needed and obtain approval.

4. Suggest or develop new and improved fixtures.

5. Guide and train QC Inspectors and cross-check their outputs to ensure compliance with ITP / QP requirements.

6. Perform inspections as needed or directed by the supervisor, including subcontracted work.

7. Lead the inspection team when necessary.

8. Ensure quality products are shipped out.

9. Oversee fabrication, welding, NDT, and painting activities according to respective codes.

Job Responsibilities

Network: PMG, Production, Shipping

1. Liaise with the Shop Foreman, supervisor, and workers regarding all quality matters.

2. Clarify drawings, details, and revisions from Engineering Departments as needed.

3. Follow up with Warehouse, Shipping, and Production Departments to close NCRs.

4. Ensure all employees understand departmental objectives and work productively.

5. Assist in initiating disciplinary actions to maintain workplace safety and good conduct.

A. Make decisions at various inspection stages regarding acceptance or rejection of materials.

B. Monitor and control subcontractors' coating jobs and supervise coating activities and inspectors.

C. Conduct receipt, in-process, and final inspections of manufacturing processes.

6. Report daily to the QC Manager on inspection activities.

7. Prepare inspection documents for special jobs as required.

8. Coordinate with customer technical representatives (TPI) and understand their minimum requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Experience & Knowledge: 5 years in similar industries and certifications such as AWS/CSWIP, NACE/BGAS, or NDT Level-II.

Minimum Entry Qualifications: Diploma or Engineering in Mechanical or other disciplines, BSc Chemistry.
