Responsibilities

  • Monitor Threat Intelligence received from various sources and ensure implementation across CUSTOMER environments.
  • Develop cybersecurity alerts based on threat intelligence and communicate them internally within CUSTOMER and regulated entities.
  • Analyze emails and network traffic to identify malicious activities, security weaknesses, and recommend remediation.
  • Review configurations and rules of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, routers, switches, and other network security devices.
  • Monitor SIEM solutions for suspicious activities and initiate remediation when necessary.
  • Participate in designing and implementing the Cyber Threat Intelligence platform for CUSTOMER.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc security assessments of systems, patches, applications, and networks to ensure compliance with policies and best practices.
  • Review changes to network security devices to ensure security controls are properly implemented.
  • Assist in the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of security products.
  • Collaborate in handling security incidents and operations.
  • Research new security trends, technologies, and breaches; propose improvements.
  • Conduct application security assessments as part of change management.
  • Engage in cybersecurity aspects of new projects from inception to retirement.
  • Manage access control in line with Customer policies.
  • Implement and maintain international standards such as ISO27001, BS22301.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to Kuwaiti resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCIE Security, etc.
  • Certifications related to security products like firewalls, routing, switching, antivirus, IPS, vulnerability management, and system administration.

Skills & Experience

  • 10-12 years of experience in IT security within banking/financial sectors or related fields.
  • Extensive experience with routing, switching, firewalls, IPS, mail and web security gateways, endpoint security, vulnerability assessments.
  • Deep understanding of analyzing network traffic.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and operating security solutions for banking projects.
  • Experience with SIEM, IPS, antivirus solutions, content filtering, VPNs, ATP, VMS, EDR, sandbox tools, and DLP solutions.
  • Proven ability in incident response, analysis, containment, and eradication.
  • Experience in compliance checks against organizational policies.
  • Trusted advisor role, communicating risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to handle unplanned tasks promptly.
  • Team player with security-focused project involvement.
  • Stay updated with emerging security technologies and their impacts.
