Title: IBM DB2 Administrator

Duration: 12+ Months possible to extend

Location: Kuwait

Required Skills:
  1. Strong hands-on experience with IBM DB2 (version 10.x or higher) in a non-z/OS environment (Linux, UNIX, or Windows).
  2. Solid understanding of DB2 performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, and storage management.
  3. Experience with DB2 database backup and recovery strategies (using tools like db2look, db2move, and db2backup).
  4. Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  5. Experience with DB2 High Availability (e.g., HADR), replication, and disaster recovery techniques.
  6. Familiarity with DB2 command-line utilities, db2diag, and other diagnostic tools.
  7. Scripting skills (e.g., Shell scripting, Python, Perl) for automating tasks like backups, monitoring, and maintenance.
  8. Familiarity with database security and user management in DB2.
