Position: Director, Communications and Sustainability

SANAM is a regional alternative investment firm established in 1982, listed on Boursa Kuwait since 2004, with a current paid-up and issued capital of KWD 10.5 million. The firm adopted a transformational plan in 2022 towards responsible investing and manages three platforms across multiple asset classes, mainly real estate, private equity, and venture capital. To support its growth strategy, SANAM is seeking to hire a Director of Communications and Sustainability to join its team.

  • Develop a cohesive communications strategy
  • Project a positive company image to the public
  • Develop and execute ESG strategies
  • Manage public perception, including marketing and communication strategies, with attention to timing
  • Support the development and delivery of the firm's internal sustainability strategy
  • Engage with and monitor the firm's signatory commitments, including the PRI
  • Inform and engage internal and external stakeholders on ESG performance across company platforms, including participation in the green investment committee
  • Engage with platform companies to promote sustainability best practices, providing guidance to enhance ESG performance
Responsibilities
  • Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy
  • Develop sustainability strategies to enhance environmental and social performance
  • Prepare and manage all communications materials and media relations
  • Create and maintain brand voice and integrity across platforms
  • Build relationships with media, influencers, and community leaders
  • Assist in creating digital, video, audio, and print content
Requirements and Skills
  • Proven experience as a Communications Director or similar role
  • Experience in stakeholder and community engagement
  • Proficiency with communications technologies
  • Knowledge of copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing principles
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field (preferred)
