Plumbing Inspector

Overview

This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

Under the supervision of the Facility Inspection Supervisor, the selected candidate will maintain and repair pipe systems, plumbing fixtures, and related appurtenances. Responsibilities include installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing pipe systems designed to conduct water, sewage, and industrial wastes.

• Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair pipe systems for water, sewage, and industrial wastes.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

• High school diploma and trade school or apprenticeship certificate required. Must provide proof of diploma or certificates.
• Minimum of three (3) years of directly related work experience required.
• Current plumbing licensure required.

Education/Certifications

• One-year related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.

Additional Requirements

• Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License.

Skills

• Experience with installation, assembly, and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems.

Working Conditions

• Capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including temperatures exceeding 120°F.
• Indoor and outdoor environments with harsh conditions, including hot, dry, desert environments with temperatures from 30°F in winter to 130°F in summer.

Physical Requirements

• Light work involving exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly.
• May require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing/sitting, and working with potential exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in some situations, including head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protection.
• Must comply with all fire and safety regulations and policies.
