Position Overview:
ACA is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Pre-K/KG-1 Teacher's Assistant to support our youngest learners in a dynamic and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the homeroom teacher to foster a safe, supportive, and creative classroom that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the homeroom teacher in delivering daily lessons and activities.
  2. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
  3. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
  4. Help supervise students during playtime, meals, and transitions.
  5. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture in alignment with ACA's values.
  6. Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher.
  7. Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior.
  8. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  9. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English or Education (required).
  • Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to young learners' needs.
  • A commitment to fostering a love of learning in early childhood.
