IT Asset

Key Responsibilities

• IT Asset Management:
• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, licenses) from procurement to disposal.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including tracking asset details such as serial numbers, warranty information, and location.
• Ensure that all IT assets are properly tagged and tracked in the asset management system.
• Monitor and manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
• Perform regular audits to ensure the accuracy of asset records and identify any discrepancies.
• Coordinate the return or disposal of obsolete or end-of-life assets in accordance with company policies and environmental standards.
• Vendor Management:
• Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance, track service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure adherence to contract terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify vendor needs and find appropriate solutions.
• Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with contracts.
• Address any vendor-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Procurement:
• Assist in the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effective purchases aligned with company needs.
• Work with the finance department to ensure budget compliance in asset purchases.
• Ensure that all asset procurements follow internal approval and audit processes.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Generate regular reports on IT asset status, vendor performance, and budget adherence for senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and asset-related documents.
• Provide regular updates and insights on asset utilization and vendor management effectiveness.
