We are seeking an experienced and skilled Computer Technician to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, computer maintenance, troubleshooting, computer repair, and working with various operating systems on-site. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical support and maintenance for computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including installation, configuration, and upgrading of systems and software.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues including diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems.
  3. Conduct routine maintenance and diagnostic tests on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
  4. Collaborate with other teams, including IT, operations, and management, to resolve technical issues and implement new technologies.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and knowledge base articles.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field, and apply this knowledge to improve technical support and services.
Qualifications:
  1. University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  2. 5-7 years of experience in hardware or software support and service.
  3. Hands-on experience with hardware from major vendors, including HP, Dell, and IBM.
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio (added benefit).
  5. Good understanding of Microsoft Office and Office 365 deployment.
  6. Proficient in using standard diagnostic and testing equipment and software tools.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
