Purpose & Scope
Aligns COMPANY - IOC partnerships with strategic, financial, & operational goals by managing contracts, evaluating proposals, & preparing tender documentation. Ensures favorable, compliant agreements through T&C reviews & supports the full contract lifecycle, from prebidding to award. Monitors performance, manages amendments, & provides expert contractual advice.
Roles & Responsibilities (Major Duties)
- Advise on the preparation, review, & submission of tender documents, ensuring all contractual requirements are addressed, providing contract-related insights, & ensuring inclusion of requirements in bidding documents.
- Review contractual agreements between COMPANY & lOCs, ensuring compliance with COMPANY's commercial standards.
- Evaluate Partner's proposals during the tender process, assessing full alignment to COMPANY's strategic goals.
- Provide inputs for the negotiation of the contract terms with the Partner, representing COMPANY's interests to secure favorable terms & resolve potential conflicts.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that COMPANY's standard contractual clauses & commercial policies, e.g., tax, are included.
- Support the contract award process, ensuring partner selection aligns with COMPANY's strategic, operational, & financial objectives.
- Support the implementation of T&Cs in establishing COMPANY's & ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Monitor partnership contract performance to ensure compliance with agreed terms, addressing any discrepancies for renegotiation.
- Advise on contract amendments, renewals, & terminations, ensuring any changes are consistent with COMPANY contract practices.
- Provide inputs on the negotiations on contract amendments, protecting COMPANY's interests & mitigating risks.
- Serve as the contract expert within the BD Group, providing insights & recommendations on contract interpretations, risk management, & contract lifecycle decisions.
Independence of Operations
- Reports to Team Leader Business Terms & Regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferable in Petroleum Engineering).
- Experience: Proven experience (10+ years) in contract drafting & management, preferably within the O&G sector, with a strong focus on partnerships, joint ventures, or production sharing agreements.
